Our first Open Day since 2019 did not disappoint! With students and families braving the cold weather to see all that was on display across our campus, Open Day 2022 was a joyous occasion for all who attended. Instrumental concerts, classroom activities and the always-popular coffee van kept patrons extra busy during the day and hopefully gave everyone a glimpse into Oxley life.

The situation in Ukraine is devastating. There are a lot of people suffering in many ways and as a student body, we felt we wanted to do something, in whatever capacity we could, to help. On Friday 18 March, a fundraiser was organised to raise funds for Samaritan Purse’s Ukraine response.

We were very thankful that the Year 10 Camp was able to go ahead and we enjoyed the best weather for this camp in 5 or so years. An unexpected and lengthy fireworks display, clearly visible from a private function at the nearby Point Leo estate on the first night, was an extra blessing, as were the mild evenings that enabled comfortable time spent outside.

During the course of 2021, we were fortunate enough to work in collaboration with CompNow to produce a case study on the integration of the Microsoft Surface Hubs and Microsoft 365 Suite into teaching and student learning. We’d like to thank the team at CompNow for all their hard work in providing the necessary training and assistance to help our staff implement these new technologies into our College, paving the way for new and exciting avenues of education at Oxley.
