Assistant Head of Junior School – Teaching & Learning

The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person for the position of Assistant Head of Junior School – Teaching and Learning. The role reports to the Head of Junior School.

In addition to a small teaching load, the Assistant Head of Junior School – Teaching and Learning will provide support and expert leadership in the development of our innovative curriculum and teaching program.

Among other things, this position involves an active role in the strategic planning and delivery of curriculum, managing change, supporting teachers’ planning, pedagogy and professional development, and oversight of assessment and reporting requirements associated with the Australian Curriculum.

Applicants will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively.

This position is ongoing, full time, commencing Term 1, 2021.

Head of International Students’ Studies

The College holds places for the enrolment of up to 120 international students with approximately 80 current students.

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person for the position of Head of International Students’ Studies. The role reports to the Head of Senior School.

Applicants will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively. Preferably, with experience working with students from the Asia-Pacific region. The position includes some teaching responsibilities in the Senior School curriculum.

This position is ongoing, full time, commencing Term 1, 2021.

Learning Support Assistants

The College is seeking applications for Learning Support Assistants, working alongside subject teachers to support Senior School students in the physical or virtual classroom.

These roles are on a fixed term contract basis, full or part time, commencing Term 4, 2020. There may be the potential to extend into 2021.

The successful applicants will have an understanding of the educational, social and emotional needs of children with special learning needs. It is desirable that applicants have, or are studying towards obtaining, Certificate IV in Educational Support, or similar qualification or are studying towards a teaching qualification.

Marketing and Development Officer

The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Marketing and Development Officer. This role incorporates marketing and communication, as well as visual communication, supporting the Principal and staff in the promotion of the College and its values both within the College and to the wider community.

As a member of the Administration team, this ongoing, full time position is responsible to the Principal, through the Business Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and implementation of the College’s marketing and communications strategies, to build the College’s profile in the community, particularly by increasing the College’s involvement in the life of the broader community of Chirnside Park and outer eastern Melbourne.
  • The design and production of internal and external promotional materials, advertising and signage;
  • Developing and maintaining promotional photographic and video assets; and
  • Management of the College website and social media platforms.
