Learning Support Teacher

The College is seeking a qualified and experienced Learning Support Teacher for the Junior School, on a part-time (0.40 FTE), fixed term basis from Term 1, 2022.

The Learning Support teacher will support the learning, social and emotional needs of students. The role includes oversight of the support and extension program at Years 4 to 6, providing targeted instruction to students with additional needs.

Working directly with students, parents and staff, the applicant will express a strong sense of empathy and care in our highly professional teaching and learning environment. As a member of the Learning Enhancement team, the successful applicant will report directly to the Learning Enhancement Coordinator.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Education or a degree qualification supported by a Post Graduate Diploma of Education
  2. Post Graduate qualification in Special Education (preferred) or equivalent
  3. Experience in a similar role

Personal Assistant to Deputy Principal – Head of Senior School

The College is seeking an experienced Personal Assistant with high level data entry and typing skills, competent with Microsoft Office products (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and familiar with school data management systems (Synergetic and SEQTA) is desirable. Ability to provide high level administration service to the Deputy Principal – Head of Senior School.

Learning Support Assistant

The College is seeking applications for a Learning Support Assistant to support Junior School students, working alongside classroom teachers in the classroom.

This part time role is 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) on a 1 year fixed term contract basis, commencing start of Term 1, 2022.

Service Desk Officer – Level 1 / Helpdesk Support Engineer – Level 1

We are looking for a tech enthusiast and problem solver to join our Service Desk and MS Lighthouse award winning ICT Team to provide excellent and professional support to our College community of students, parents and staff.

The successful candidate will work fulltime across our on-campus service desk, be part of ground-breaking projects, learn about complex and new technologies with the guidance from our senior team members.

To be successful, applicants should satisfy the following key selection criteria (qualifications, skills, and experiences).

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology.
  • Recent experience in helpdesk support and escalation process.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, OneNote, Office 2019, Windows 10 Pro and MS Surface devices.
  • Experience with, and problem-solving resolution skills for, MS Surface devices, including Surface Hubs, and Apple Devices, preferably within an educational context.
  • Experience in SOE and setting up devices in different OS environments (Windows and iOS).
  • Understanding of Network fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose, solve, prioritise, coordinate, and escalate service requests to meet the needs of end users.
  • Capacity to effectively work within a small dynamic ICT team to achieve strategic goals and targets.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • To support and maintain the Christian ethos of Life Ministry Centre Ltd and its operating division, Oxley Christian College, by demonstrating a dynamic Christian faith, unity of purpose, loyalty to all staff, and adherence to the policies and procedures of the College.
  • To be an effective member of the ICT Services Team, providing excellent technical support to all students, parents, and staff by demonstrating the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, in a very busy environment, maintaining a personal appearance appropriate within the school setting.
  • To establish and maintain good relationships with other team members, parents, teachers, and other staff, by recognising the contribution each member makes to the College.
  • To work collaboratively within the ICT team in the delivery of quality IT Services for all users and systems in accordance with internal policies, processes, and procedures.
  • To assist the ICT Services Manager in a variety of maintenance and development projects, as required.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

As directed from time to time by the ICT Services Manager.

ICT Level 2 Systems Administrator

We are seeking a well presented, highly motivated professional to join our ICT Services team.

About the role

The Level 2 Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day to day administration ICT systems in support of Level 1 Service Desk officers and Level 3 Senior Systems Administrator to ensure peak performance and maximum uptime is achieved across the organisation’s environment.

As a member of the close knit ICT team on campus, the role reports to the ICT Services Manager.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd level IT support for Network Infrastructure, Server Infrastructure, and ICT Systems.
  • Resolve incidents and problems associated with back end infrastructure via email, remote, phone and face to face to a predominantly Windows environment.
  • Microsoft 365, SCCM, Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, Intune administration.
  • Administer the company VOIP telephony, WIFI, Security and CCTV system.
  • Assist users with report and dashboard design and management to yield meaningful metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with Level 1, Level 3 support, internal stakeholders and users to translate business requests into business requirements.
  • Liaise with Developers / Technical Solutions and Design consultants / companies to ensure that the technical solution achieves the desired outcome.

Criteria

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role.
  • ITIL qualifications or proven experience.
  • Proven experience working within virtualised environments.
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience with Office 365 Admin across SharePoint, Exchange Online, Teams, etc.
  • Experience with PABX and VOIP telephony infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience in networking, routing, and switching.
  • Strong skills in managing Windows Server, Active Directory and Citrix Environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues.
  • Ability to provide step by step technical help, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with all levels of IT staff inside and outside the organisation.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
