Head of Teaching & Learning – Junior School
The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person for a full time ongoing position reporting to the Head of Junior School, commencing Term 1, 2020.
In addition to a small teaching load, the Head of Teaching and Learning – Junior School will provide support and expert leadership in the development of our innovative curriculum and teaching program. Among other things, this position involves an active role in the strategic planning and delivery of curriculum, change management, supporting teachers’ planning, pedagogy and professional development, and oversight of assessment and reporting requirements associated with the Australian National Curriculum. Applicants will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively.

The College invites applications from VIT registered secondary teachers who have an interest in careers education and are experienced or willing to undertake an approved course of study. The College will consider contributing to a training program.
This role supports students by providing information, guidance and advice to help explore their education and career options, create resumes, search and apply for jobs and / or further study.
An excellent communicator is required in order to liaise with a broad community including College families and staff, as well as employers, other external agencies and training providers.
This position is part time 0.6 to 0.8FTE, commencing Term 1, 2020.
