Harmonious sounds were ringing from the Life Ministry Centre in Week 8 when our senior musicians presented the Senior Ensemble Evening. Highlights included Sinfonia’s presentation of Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro, featuring violin soloist Mattias Talpan, the Concert Band rocking the night away with Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up and the girls of the Vocal Ensemble with a beautiful rendition of True Colours.

Our Year 10 Physics Class took to the skies in Week 3 for the annual Physics Rocket Launch. With perfect sunny conditions that provided warmth to the chilly air, students braced themselves for a morning of space exploration as they prepared their rockets for launch.

There was a great competitive buzz on Tuesday at our Senior Cross Country with runners taking on each race with plenty of smiles and tremendous effort. As always. the annual Cross Country sausage sizzle put on by senior students gave runners a much-deserved feed after completing the challenging course.

Our first Open Day since 2019 did not disappoint! With students and families braving the cold weather to see all that was on display across our campus, Open Day 2022 was a joyous occasion for all who attended. Instrumental concerts, classroom activities and the always-popular coffee van kept patrons extra busy during the day and hopefully gave everyone a glimpse into Oxley life.
