CELINE ROBINSON
Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins is a ‘rosey-cheeked’  and practically perfect English nanny who prides herself on her sensible and  honest nature. With a balance of firmness and kindness, she instils respect  and a sense of wonder in the Banks children. Mary is not afraid to stand up  for herself, which she manages with her quick wit. She is a friend to all,  including the fun-loving and creative Bert, with whom she enjoys going on  jolly adventures. Although she can appear curt upon meeting, Mary has a  warmth within that is valued by all who surround her. It really is ‘no wonder  that it’s Mary that we love’!

LIAM WILSON-GARDNER

He cares deeply for those around him no matter who they are, and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

JOSHUA MCDOWELL
George Banks

George Banks is the father of Jane  and Michael, husband to Winifred, and the self- proclaimed ‘sovereign of  Cherry Tree Lane’. He is a highly strung and rigid individual whose patience  is tested as he struggles to maintain control of his household. All the  while, he is faced with difficult decisions at his position in the bank that  cause him to sometimes lose his temper. However, the sudden appearance of  Mary Poppins sends his world into chaos and George is set down a path of  reflection and re-evaluation that forces him to reconsider what it is he  values most.

ESTHER PENMAN
Winifred Banks

Winifred Banks is a loving, soft-spoken and reserved woman. She is burdened with the expectations to conform as a house wife and mother in high-class society, in accordance with her authoritative husband’s wishes. Although desperate to play her role correctly and please her husband, Winifred encounters difficulty fitting into this image. Behind her facade, she longs for an exciting life where her purpose goes beyond simply ‘being Mrs Banks’. Winifred desires the best for her family, often prioritising their wants over her own.

IMOGEN GELLERT

Mrs Brill works alongside Robertson Ay, the houseboy whom she trains in housekeeping matters. However, she has learnt that he is somewhat useless and this creates moments of amusement. Mrs Brill is disgruntled with the Banks family, however deep down she appreciates and loves them, and keeps the heart of the house beating.

DECLAN WHITE
Robertson Ay

Robertson Ay  is the bumbling servant boy of the Banks household. His clumsiness, incompetence, and dimwittedness is unacceptable to  George Banks’ highbrow London society. How Robertson has kept his job is a  mystery, as his inability to complete basic tasks and ability to invoke  extreme rage or strain upon the household, particularly Mrs Brill, ought to  have had him fired long ago.
