Oxley Christian College prioritises the safety and wellbeing of each and every student. Our Child Safety Standards guide our procedures and practices.
Child Safety Officers
The Board of Elders and Directors of Life Ministry Centre Ltd has appointed Ps Matt Daly and Mrs Sarah Witnish as Child Safety Officers for Oxley Christian College.
Mr James Avram, Deputy Principal –Head of Secondary School is the College Senior Child Safety Officer. While Ps Matt Daly, College Chaplain, and Mrs Sarah Witnish, College Counsellor, as College Child Safety Officers assist both children and adults who may have concerns in relation to child abuse and child safety.
All adults working at the College (including staff, volunteers, contractors, and homestay parents) will be required to abide by the Child Safe Policy and sign and comply with the Child Safe Code of Conduct.

Child Safety Standards
Since their introduction, the Child Safe Standards (the Standards) have increased the safety of children and young people in organisations that provide services for them.
More information about the Child Safe Standards can be found on the Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP) website.
The CCYP has released a ‘plain English’ resource, summarising Victoria’s child safe standards that commenced in July 2022.
