Principal's Discretionary Scholarships

Oxley celebrates the unique gifts and talents of all students. For Year 7 to 12 students who exhibit exceptional aptitude and commitment, the Principal may grant a scholarship at his discretion. Through these scholarships, we recognise and nurture students' pursuit of excellence.

Helping Students Achieve Their Goals

At Oxley, we understand that extracurricular pursuits require significant time and financial investment. To support students in achieving their goals and potential, at the Principal's discretion, the College may offer a scholarship to reduce tuition fees.

The Principal's Discretionary Scholarships differs from the Oxley Academic Scholarship in that academics is not the is not the primary criterion. Instead, it recognises excellence in a specific field. Recipients will still be expected to demonstrate strengths in academic studies.

Scholarship Candidacy

In addition to demonstrated exceptional ability in the field of their choice, an Oxley Principal's Discretionary Scholarship candidate will:

  • reflect the values of the College, embracing Truth, Goodness and Beauty.
  • act as a role model at all times.
  • demonstrate strength in academic studies.
  • use their talents to the best of their ability and provide support and encouragement to other Oxley students.
  • demonstrate leadership skills (where applicable) and actively take on new challenges.

The portfolio must respond to the following themes:
