Academic Scholarships

The Oxley Academic Scholarship Program is an initiative aimed at recognising and supporting students of upstanding character who are dedicated to academic achievement.

Note: Applications for Academic Scholarships can only be submitted via the process listed below from November 1. A Scholarship Cover Sheet, and Edutest exam registration (at Oxley or other participating institution) must be completed.

Our Academic Scholarship Program recognises and supports students who excel academically. These students also live out our Christian values, and participate in extracurricular activities. We award scholarships based on a review of academic performance, work habits, behaviour, attendance, and community involvement.

Available Scholarships

Scholarships are available from November 1 of the current Academic Year.

YEAR 5:   Applications will be released for the 2027 Academic Year. This will be for prospective students only.
YEAR 7 :  Applications will be released for the 2027 and 2028 Academic Years. This will be for both current and prospective students.
YEAR 8 - 10:  Applications will be released for the 2027 Academic Year. This will be for both current and prospective students.
YEAR 11:   Applications will be released for the 2027 Academic Year. This will be for prospective students only.

Portfolio Submission

To be considered for a Scholarship, students must submit a portfolio. Applicants can submit this portfolio in any format, for example, a written essay, visual diary, or collation of works. The portfolio must respond to the selection criteria below. These selection criteria questions will be asked during the interview, should the applicant be shortlisted.

  • How do you embody the Christian values of our College in your daily life?
  • Describe your academic achievements and how you have maintained high academic standards.
  • What contributions have you made and/or will you be able to make to the extra-curricular program at our College?
  • How do you manage your time to balance academics, extra-curricular activities, and other commitments?
  • What leadership roles have you taken on/or be able to take on within the College community?
  • Provide an example of a challenge you have faced and how you overcame it.
  • What are your academic and personal goals for the future? How will this scholarship help you achieve them?

All work presented must be the student applicant's original work. Students are permitted to refer to their portfolio should they be invited to interview.

  • Most recent NAPLAN results
  • Most recent Semester Reports (x2)


Highly Desired:

  • Details extracurricular involvement
  • Details of any leadership roles
  • Letters of recommendation or achievement

1. Arrange Portfolio

Portfolio must include NAPLAN results, teacher's reports showing consistently high results, response to selection criteria plus any notable extra-curricular activities, leadership roles, or competition results.

2. Apply

Apply for this scholarship by submitting a Cover Sheet along with your portfolio by November 14.

3. Sit the Exam

Short listed students will be invited to sit an Edutest Examination. An examination sitting fee of $100 applies. You will be invited by email.

4. Student Interview

Following the results of the exam, your child may be invited to interview with our Scholarship Committee.

5. Selection

6. Notification and Acceptance

You will be notified of the outcome by the end of Term 2, 2026. Scholarship is not granted until a letter of acceptance is submitted.
