Students who are eligible for the Oxley Academic Scholarship perform at a high academic standard, actively participate in extracurricular activities, and exhibit strong work habits. Students should also embody Christian values and demonstrate how they can set a positive example for their peers and enrich the College community.

Academic Scholarships
The Oxley Academic Scholarship Program is an initiative aimed at recognising and supporting students of upstanding character who are dedicated to academic achievement.
Available Scholarships
2028 Year 5 - Non-Current students only
2028 Year 7 to 10 - Current and Non-Current students
2029 Year 7 - Current and Non-Current students
2028 Year 5 - Non-Current students only
This scholarship is:
- available to students who are currently in Year 3.
- available to students who are planning to start Year 5 at Oxley in 2028.
- not available to students who are currently studying at Oxley.
- tenable until the end of Year 6.
2028 Year 7 to 10 - Current and Non-Current students
This scholarship is:
- available to students who are planning to start Year 7, 8, 9 or 10 at Oxley in 2028.
- also available to students who are currently in Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 and will be continuing their education at Oxley in 2028.
- tenable until the end of Year 12.
2029 Year 7 - Current and Non-Current students
This scholarship is:
- available to students who are currently in Year 4.
- available to students who will be starting at Oxley in 2029 in Year 7.
- also available to students who will be continuing their education at Oxley in 2029.
- tenable until the end of Year 12.
Portfolio Details
Submissions without a completed Portfolio will not be considered.
To apply for this scholarship, students must submit a portfolio. Candidates are required submit this along with the provided application form (not available until 6 October). The portfolio may be in any format of the candidate's choice, for example, a written essay, visual diary, and/or collation of works and must respond to the selection criteria below.
The portfolio should demonstrate the following themes:
- Living out Christian Values in everyday life
- Demonstrated excellence in academics through achievements and consistent performance
- Engagement in school life, including both co-curricular and extracurricular activities
- Balancing academic and extracurricular commitments
- Leadership and service, both inside and outside the College
- Resilience and overcoming challenges
- Future goals and how a Scholarship will help achieve them
This scholarship is intended to recognise the student through their own achievements, character, and contribution. As such, the portfolio is the primary consideration in the selection process and should be in the student’s own words.
Supporting recommendations and references are valued as evidence but are secondary to the student’s own account of their journey, accomplishments, and aspirations.

1. Arrange Portfolio
A complete Oxley Academic Scholarship application must include the official Application Form, including a complete portfolio and all stipulated supporting documentation.
2. Apply
From 6 October 2026, applicants may apply by submitting the Application Form along with their portfolio. The scholarship application may only be submitted digitally by emailing all documents to scholarships@oxley.vic.edu.au
3. Sit the Exam
Shortlisted students are invited to sit the examination and will be sent an online examination link. An examination sitting fee of $104.50 applies. Examinations are typically held in February of the following academic year.
4. Student Interview
Following the results of the examination, your child may be invited to interview with our Scholarship Committee.
5. Selection
Successful applicants will be selected, and a recommendation will be forwarded to the Principal by the Deputy Principal and Head of Secondary.
6. Notification and Acceptance
You will be notified of the outcome of the scholarship selection process by the end of Term 2, 2027. A scholarship will not be granted until a letter of acceptance is submitted. You will have 14 days from the offer to submit a letter of acceptance
