Academic Scholarships

The Oxley Academic Scholarship Program is an initiative aimed at recognising and supporting students of upstanding character who are dedicated to academic achievement.

Scholarship applications for the 2026/2027 intake are now closed. We thank all applicants for their interest and the high quality of submissions received. Applications for the 2027/2028 scholarship program will open later in the year, with full details to be published on the College website during the latter part of Semester 2, 2026 (Term 4). We encourage families to check back regularly for updates and key dates.

Students who are eligible for the Oxley Academic Scholarship perform at a high academic standard, actively participate in extra-curricular activities, and exhibit strong work habits. Students should also embody the College’s Christian values and demonstrate how they can set a positive example for their peers and enrich College Community life.

Portfolio Submission

To apply for this scholarship, students must submit a portfolio. Candidates are required submit this along with the provided Cover Sheet. The portfolio may be in any format of the candidate's choice, for example, a written essay, visual diary, or collation of works and must respond to the selection criteria below.

The portfolio must respond to the following themes:

  • Living out Christian Values in everyday life.
  • Demonstrated excellence in academic through achievements and consistent performance.
  • Engagement in school life both co-curricular and extra-curricular.
  • Balancing academic and extracurricular activities
  • Leadership and Service both inside and outside the College
  • Resilience and overcoming challenges
  • Future goals and how a Scholarship will help achieve them

Questions related to the selection criteria will be posed to candidates in an interview. All work presented must be the student candidate’s original work. Candidates are permitted to refer to their portfolio should they be invited to interview.

1. Arrange Portfolio

Portfolio must include NAPLAN results, teacher's reports showing consistently high results, response to selection criteria plus any notable extra-curricular activities, leadership roles, or competition results.

2. Apply

When the scholarship opens, further instruction will be supplied.

3. Sit the Exam

Short listed students will be invited to sit an Edutest Examination. An examination sitting fee of $100 applies. You will be invited by email.

4. Student Interview

Following the results of the exam, your child may be invited to interview with our Scholarship Committee.

5. Selection

Successful applicants will be selected, and a recommendation will be forward to the Principal by the Deputy Principal and Head of Secondary.

6. Notification and Acceptance

You will be notified of the outcome by the end of Term 2, 2026. Scholarship is not granted until a letter of acceptance is submitted.
