STEM and General Science Secondary Teacher

The College invites applications from suitably qualified teachers who have a passion for STEM who have:
- Ability to teach across STEM disciplines, including Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics components.
- Experience incorporating electronics, coding, robotics, design thinking, or digital technologies into teaching.
Essential Criteria
- Appropriate teaching qualifications and current teacher registration (e.g., VIT).
- Ability to teach across STEM disciplines, including Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics components.
- Ability to contribute to or lead STEM initiatives, programs or projects.
- Demonstrated experience teaching STEM and/or General Science across middle and senior levels.
- Experience incorporating electronics, coding, robotics, design thinking, or digital technologies into teaching.
- Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum (AC9) – Digital Technologies, Science.
- Capacity to develop engaging, inquiry-based and practical learning experiences.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement practices.
- Commitment to evidence-based teaching and data-informed practice.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience teaching senior Science subjects (e.g., VCE Biology, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent).
- Interest in interdisciplinary and project-based learning approaches.
- Willingness to participate in co-curricular STEM activities (e.g., clubs, competitions).
- Commitment to innovation and continuous professional growth.
