During the course of 2021, we were fortunate enough to work in collaboration with CompNow to produce a case study on the integration of the Microsoft Surface Hubs and Microsoft 365 Suite into teaching and student learning. Senior House Swimming Carnival

There was a great atmosphere last Friday at the Croydon Outdoor Memorial Pool where Oxley Christian College held their annual Senior House Swimming Carnival. All the students got involved supporting their Houses either in the pool or in the stands. It was a close contest between Zion Crusaders (Blue House) and Gibeon Warriors (Red House), with Tabor Trojans (White House) staying just in reach.

Game, Set, Match!

Speaking on 89.9 The Light, Eden relished the opportunity to be a part of the Australian Open as a ball kid for the men and women’s singles finals, as well as the men’s doubles final. The men’s final in particular was a highlight for Eden, with the 5-set thriller going into the early hours of the night, “Rafa (Nadal) came back and we were ecstatic – it was amazing, we were so happy.

Senior School Return to School Celebrations

Actions speak louder than words is an old maxim, which holds true most of the time, and it was the idea behind the many welcome back activities for students across Senior School at the end of the most recent lockdown. For each year level, a different welcome back was arranged by the coordinators, with the assistance of students and teachers.

Astounding Response to Book Week Celebrations!

At 8.30am on Thursday 26 August, Mrs Sernio’s email crashed with the mad influx of photos being sent. Bing! Bing! Bing! There were over 150 emails with photos galore! This set her into a frenzy as she tried to answer calls and deal with the incredible response from the school community.

We had so much fun celebrating 100 Days of School! It was great to see so many students dressing up like they were 100 years old. Our classrooms were transformed into a party room with so many colourful decorations. We even took home a balloon covered with stars.

Lower Primary students settle in to their new building.

Prep – Year 2 students have settled in the new Junior School buildings, adjusting well to this exciting and modern learning environment. At the time of writing, we are preparing for the imminent move of Year 3 – 6 students and staff to their state-of-the-art classrooms.
