International Week - August 7th to August 11th
Last week was International Week, and it was a phenomenal celebration of Oxley's diverse cultures and students, each of whom we are so incredibly proud of.
The week began with a performance of the Chinese instrument, the Guzheng, from the Junior School Chinese students. During the week, the Junior School watched an entertaining Chinese Shadow Puppet Show and then had a chance to create their own shadow puppets in the puppet-making workshop.
Our German students decorated tasty "Lebkuchen", or gingerbread. The Senior School International students hosted chapel in worship, followed by guest speaker Pastor Mason Hudson of Resound Church. To conclude the week, the students put on a delicious feast of Asian cuisine for the whole school as part of our annual International Lunch.
What a brilliant effort from all the teachers and students who were involved in the planning, preparation, cooking and performing!
