The annual Swimming Carnivals were strongly contested this year in both the Junior and Senior Schools! Congratulations to Zion Crusaders (Blue House) for taking first place for Junior School and to Gibeon Warriors (Red House) for taking first place for Senior School!

What a delight it has been to welcome students, families and staff to the new school year! Especially the students and teaching staff beginning their time at Oxley, our Prep and Year 7 intake, and our international cohort. The last couple of weeks have been a filled with events that have highlighted the wonderful talents of students and staff at Oxley. We have celebrated, recognised and honoured the achievements of many students and in particular, the graduating classes in the Junior and Senior Schools.

Each Year 7 student authored their own family story in a compilation published in collaboration with authors Ander Louis and Robbie Verhagen (past student). We recently celebrated the culmination of this wonderful project Tales from Oxley Christian College at our Book Launch event.

Congratulations to the Junior School on its production of Disney’s The Lion King JR. What an amazing couple of evenings of story line, costumes, music and choreography. Thank you to our talented students and staff who brought characters to life and gave us glimpses into timeless Biblical images of love, courage and restoration.

This was the theme for Book Week 2019. The rich program provided by Resource Centre staff focused on promoting a love of reading in our students. The highlights during the week were the guest speakers who came to share their love of all things relating to books and a parade of costumes, representing favourite books or book characters, worn by our students and Junior School staff on Thursday 22 August at Junior School Chapel.
