Construction begins – Cricket Practice Wickets
Construction has now commenced on brand new Cricket nets at Oxley College. Works began today as part of the recent $200,000 funding Oxley College received as an element of the National School Pride Program (Building the Education Revolution). This funding will see three synthetic turf cricket practice wickets and surrounding nets installed, resurfacing of the Tennis Courts and replacement of the main playground shade sail. Further works will be announced as they are finalised.
The new cricket nets can be seen underway at the Stadium Drive end of Oxley Stadium, much to the delight of our dual premiership cricket team!
Resurfacing of the Tennis Courts, will see this space transformed in to a multi-purpose synthetic sports field, able to accommodate both tennis and netball, as well as provide a Hockey training area. Work on this project is due to commence in Term 3.
