The final celebrations by Year 12’s at Oxley Christian College are always a positive and uplifting experience for the entire school community. This year, they again did not disappoint. Months of organising and enthusiastic fund raising by the class of 2011, ensured that the last official day of school for Year 12 was celebrated with a fabulous time of entertainment and fun!
The Senior School, Chapel and Senior Staff offices were cleverly decorated and after a spectacular morning show for the whole school featuring Year 12 and their teachers, Pre-school and Junior School students were provided with carnival rides, fairy floss and lollies while Senior Students enjoyed their last Inter-House sports battles with Year 12 leading the teams.
The week of celebrations ended with the very glamorous occasion of the Year 12 Valedictory Dinner which not only honoured the graduating students, but also the parents who complete their time as Oxley families. For one family, it was the end of 26 years as parents at the College!
The Year 12 students are now in the midst of their important VCE exams and we ask you to continue to pray that they will be able to study well and perform to the best of their abilities.
School days are about so much more than VCE results. These students have been the prayerful focus of parents, teachers and friends of this community in the most formative years of their lives.
The blessing of God is evident in their faith, values, talents and abilities. May their lives continually honour God and bless everyone they meet.
